1. Waddle for a Week
May 8, 2017 @ 8:00 am — May 13, 2017 @ 2:00pm
Yes these enthusiastic Penguin lovers have been waddling all week!
They left Gansbaai on Monday and went to Stanford, Hermanus, Kleinmond and were at Betty’s Bay visiting their friends at Stony Point yesterday. Today they walk to Strand and then on Saturday they’ll do the last leg to Muizenberg and Simon’s Town.
Penguins could be extinct in 6 years! Just SIX!!! And essentially as a direct result of human impact.
Penguin Promises do this walk annually to raise awareness about Penguins. All you need to do is make a promise – any one of these will do (but preferably all!).
Make your promise on their website and get a certificate to remind you of your promise.
Hoot if you see them to show your support or join them on Saturday at 9am at Muizenberg’s Surfers Corner and waddle along to Boulder’s Beach.
