Rooiels is situated at the mouth of the Rooiels River. Here people come to dive for crayfish and fish from the rocks, sunbathe in the safe bay or stroll through the small Fynbos reserve. Rooiels is part of the Kogelberg Biosphere - the first Biosphere to be proclaimed as such by UNESCO.
The view of the Cape Peninsula across False Bay, particularly at sunset, is spectacular.
