Shipwrecks Hot

Claim This Business
The Overberg coastline is a treacherous one and there are subsequently many historical shipwrecks that can be seen along the coast. In Gansbaai the wrecks of the Birkenhead (1852) and "Johanna" (1682) at Die Dam and "Nicobar" (1783) at Quoin point can be seen at low tide. In Hangklip there is the wreck of De Grendel (1673). L'Agulhas is called the graveyard of the sea because of all the ships that have been wrecked there. This is the point at which the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet.
