The Swellendam municipal area lies in the Eastern most part of the Cape Overberg. Towns in the Swellendam region include: Swellendam, Barrydale, Suurbrak and Malgas. We also include Witsand in this section as it is on the Overberg side of the Breede River. Witsand is in actual fact part of the Riversdale municipal region.
